May Day Bank Holiday

A fairly easy-going weekend. We had the company of Fluff from Rosie's school (see blog entry below).

Saturday was spent doing the usual stuff; shopping, swimming & children's parties. There was also time for Rosie & Thomas to get to know Joseph a little better

Sunday Rosie spent some time sewing with Grandma, and later we braved the variable spring weather and had a barbeque on the green with a few neighbours.

And the highligh on Monday was lunch in the local rub-a-dub, the Shoulder of Mutton. This was Joseph's first (of no doubt many to come) visits to a pub.

He seemed pretty unimpressed and slept until his Dad's steamed pudding and custard arrived. However, the pub wasn't spoiled, since Landlady Sheila took over child holding duties until the bowl was clean.

Pinky and Perky had no problems at all consuming their dessert...
