A day in Portsmouth

After taking the scenic route (eh, Nige??) we ended up in the harbour area of Portmouth, where we enjoyed an ice-cream in the sun.

And whilst the ladies explored the shops with Joseph, dads & kids went up the Spinnaker Tower to take in the view. All around the harbour; and thanks to the glass floor, straight down.

Lend Oi Traaaactor

Last week it was Harleys, so it seemed a natural progression to Fergussons

A bunch of tractor vintage enthusiasts went a-driving round our way and stopped at The Shoulder for a gargle.

Poor Thomas was itching to sit in the driver's seat, but all the owners were in the boozer!

Well, except the one sitting under the tree looking menacing...

Stinky, Stinky 2 Strokes-3

The third gathering of the blue-cloud faithful at our local watering-hole, The Shoulder.

There was a good collection of strokers, though Thomas made himself popular by approaching a newly arrived rider as he got off his TZR250. He looked up at the chap as he took off his helmet and uttered the immortal words "Stinky, Stinky 2 Strokes"; that's my boy.

A group from the Nene Valley Harley Owner's Group stopped by, bringing along some real bikes, and outnumbering the stinkies. Mind you some unkind sod taught Thomas to refer to Harleys as Tractors. Now, we live out in the sticks so know one end of a John Deere from a Humpty Dumpty.

Oh, and the guest ale, Bitter And Twisted went down well and ensured that the rest of the afternoon was but a blur.
