Phew

Just another July evening; the town prepares for the fiesta and temperatures still swelter.

On The Beach

A day in the blazing sun at Pilar de la Horadada, where the water was more than warm enough for a dip.

Pinky & Perky indulged in that great British habit of building sand castles. Meanwhile, being on a day off, uncle David went all rastarfarian.

Another BBQ

Another sunny day; another barbecue. The food went down well, despite Thomas & Sam fighting over the last sausage !

Grandma had just the one glass of vino, whilst the kids tucked into yet more ice cream.

Wo ai zhongguo ren*

No trip to Spain is complete without a visit to the Chinese. This time Joseph extended his appetite beyond just prawn crackers.

All together now...
I like Chinese food.
The waiters never are rude.
Think of the many things they've done to impress.
There's Maoism, Taoism, I Ching, and Chess.

First BBQ of the Hols

And after the morning Birthday Party, whilst Gumpsie slaves over the hot coals, Jiffy munches away on bread.

And given the recent birthday, once the BBQ was out of the way, it was time for C A K E !!

Another Birthday Party

Rosie enjoys her third party, this time in Spain. Aunty Clare was so kind in giving Rosie a Disney Princess horse and carriage; which is bigger than our largest suitcase....

First Swim of the Hols

No sooner have we arrived at Casa Abuela when Pinky & Perky are into their cozzies and jump into the pool. Gumpsie provides life-guard duties.

Rosie's (actual) birthday

Not content with last Saturday at Clown In Around, Rosie celebrated the big day with a private party; a high tea for the girls - Shona & Becky, Mummy and Shona's mum, Dawn.
Thomas, Joseph and Dad were allowed - but no other boys!

There was party food galore, some more prezzies,

and of course C A K E !!!

The occasion was celebrated at Clown In Around, where all their friends ran riot on the climbing equipment before settling down for some party food, ice cream. And of course C A K E !!!

More Yummy Cake

One of the joys of Rose Queen Day, besides the spectacular dancing, and games, is the stand selling home made C A K E.
This year we bought two; both perished at the hands of the kids before they could be captured on camera.
Here Thomas, and Terrance The Shark enjoy the end of a luvverly choc, fruit & cream number; mmmmm.

Erin's Birthday

What a way to throw a first birthday party.

The gazebos kept the rain at bay; though they couldn't keep the kids out of the water.
The music and barbecue kept goin' & goin'.
The drink seemed endless.
And there was mountains of C A K E !

The pictures say it all....
